They set out the agreement between you (the client) and Orkney Odyssey (the operator) to ensure your experience is safe, transparent, and enjoyable.

Booking and Payment
Bookings are subject to availability and confirmed once payment (or deposit, where applicable) has been received.
Full payment details are provided during the booking process. Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).
We reserve the right to adjust prices prior to confirmation if there are changes to taxes, fuel costs, or other operational factors.
Cancellations
We understand that sometimes plans change.
- 14 days or more before your tour: full refund, minus any small admin fee if applicable.
- 7–13 days before your tour: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days or no show: no refund.
If we have to cancel due to weather, illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive a full refund or the option to rebook another suitable date.
Your Responsibilities
Please ensure you are fit and able to take part in the tour and let us know in advance about any medical or mobility concerns.
Arrive on time for the agreed start point — late arrivals may reduce your tour time and are not eligible for refunds.
You remain responsible for your personal belongings throughout the tour.
Our Responsibilities
We’ll always do our best to provide a safe, memorable, and eco‑friendly experience.
However, we cannot accept liability for events beyond our control, such as severe weather, ferry delays, or road closures.
We hold appropriate insurance and follow local safety and tourism standards.
Liability
While we take every care, Orkney Odyssey cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
Our total liability for any claim related to your booking will not exceed the amount you paid for your tour.
Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Travel Insurance
We recommend that all guests have travel insurance covering cancellations, personal belongings, and unforeseen circumstances.
Behaviour and Conduct
We ask that all guests treat the guide, others, and the local community with courtesy and respect.
We reserve the right to end a tour early, without refund, if guest behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
Environmental Commitment
Our tours are run in a fully electric vehicle as part of our pledge to reduce environmental impact.
We follow a “leave no trace” philosophy and ask our guests to do the same — respecting local wildlife, landscapes, and heritage sites.
